Silicone Chemistry
Any group of polymerized organic silicon compounds containing a basic structure of oxygen and silicone atoms, usually with various organic groups attached to the chain.
Thermoset silicones are processed using either one or two component materials. One-component materials react with moisture in the air. These are known as condensation systems. Two-component materials have reactive functional end groups and are known as addition systems. Fenner Precision's Winthane silicone products are primarily addition-type systems.
